German Oak - The Third Reich With out a doubt, a great album, with some definite gothic-industrial under tones, but much more 'Prog-Rock' instrumentation thrown in for very good measure, it is early 1970's after all. Classed by many under the banner heading of 'kraut-rock' ...This its not what comes to my mind when I think of K-Rock. But for the ones that feel the need to give something a label, I would be more inclined to use the 'Prog-Rock' one, as I feel it holds up better, with "Raid over Dusseldorf" falling right into this camp and being one of the high points of the album IMO, closely followed by "The Third Reich" which is the name I have always been told is of this album. I have been lucky enough to have had my copy of this for quite some time, and I still think it sounds as good now as the first time I heard it.
