My copy has some sort of defect despite sitting on a shelf out of direct sunlight (in a dust-free glass case, no less) and only being used twice since purchase in 2004 to put the tracks on my computer. There's this consistent, overwhelming static and it's embedded in every track from start to end, both discs. I have encountered this in my Associates - Perhaps / Glamour Chase discs as well, but not with any of my other 2000+ CDs. I don't fancy spending another $30 on these, so I'll be making do with vinyl, since I have all of it save the 39 Lyon Street track "Kites", which doesn't even have Billy on lead vocals anyway. Warner Brothers has some explaining to do.
