Discussion about Fischerspooner - #1
Balladolbine
The DVD Audio section is poorly mastered, with a fixed record level set ie in quiet intros or dropouts the volume increases but the minute a beat comes in everything else drops back. This is the case on Stereo and 5.1 mixes, and is most clearly identified by comparing the Junkie XL mix on CD and DVD. This historical method of setting volumes is not so apparent on the Videos, but it's amazing FS allowed this to be released like this (mixing current 5.1 technology with volume level control that went out on the 80s)! The order of mixes on the DVD menu is also not quite as listed above, although the menu options do play the correct mix.
